Gold Panning Friday
#1
My husband and me are headed out Friday to do some gold panning in the Ammonoosuc river.   Can't wait as this will be the maiden voyage lol.   So I'm sure we will learn alot.  Any helpful tips?

Look for inside bends to work, behind big rocks and pick cracks in exposed bedrock if you find any. I've seen some good gold that came out of the Wild Ammonoosuc right by the campground. I've never prospected there myself but know some who have. I'm about 3 hours north of there and hope to make it down someday. Let us know how you did. The treasure is in the day itself and the gold is just a bonus.

Thanks for the info Bob--we will do that for sure.  Looking forward to a great day out in nature, gold is a bonus.
