I am uk based and joined this forum looking for help and advice with using the teknetics omega 8000. This is a great machine but much more popular in the United states than over here. Hopefully some of you guys will be able to provide some good hints and tips on how to get the best out of it.

Thanks in advance.

Welcome to the forum . I'm not familiar with the teknetic line of detectors, but I'm sure there is someone that is that can help you.

Keep the faith

First of all why use a toy!!! Even your Excalibur is better then the  Omega.
Let loose with some change and buy a E-Trac or a CTX-3030.

If this is not Bryan, my recomadation would be the same.
Hunt with the real thing!!!

If I had the money I would let loose and buy a T2 or an f75 but hey the omega is a pretty good toy. Minelab are to heavy my scrawny frame.

Welcome!
Not much help with your question, Omegas are not popular here.  My suggestion would be  to use what the Americans use when they visit your country,  a Minelab Safari, E-Tract of CTX 3030  metal detector. The big finds are made with the Multi frequency metal detectors.
I know of no one bringing and using an  Omega to hunt with in the UK.
