Silver and clad from the beach
Posted by: bobvt - 12-29-2016, 12:59 PM - Forum: Treasures Found! - Replies (1)

Drove to Maine to do some detecting on Tuesday.  Tried Short Sands and Long Sands beaches, found a junk ring and a little change, then my damn scoop broke.  Need to see if I can get it welded.  Drove down to Wallis Sands and found a silver pendant and little medallion from D'Youville College.

Gerry made me aware, how you can be here one day and gone the next without a warning. From the beginning Gerry was a detectin' buddy and to the end this was one of his passions. Gerry  got one of the biggest fish pole collections one can amass. I am sure he and his family had fun finding them. Gerry lost his wife Gail a while back and was lonely. We still visited and talked and its like he was here a week ago. Gerry died in his easy chair with his dog by his side either late Fri Dec 23 or Sat Dec 24. When found, Gerry  was cold and gone on to a happier place. Rest in Peace my Friend and  we will continue with your legacy.
Gerry's friend, George

  Some Junk from Hampton
Posted by: bobvt - 11-27-2016, 07:50 PM - Forum: Treasures Found! - Replies (1)

I drove out to Hampton Beach on Saturday to detect for a few hours. Put the 17 inch coil on the CTX 3030 with hopes of finding something deep. Ended up with a couple dollars in change, arcade token, tent stake, and a cheap bracelet.
